Ogden Temple & Bellington Manor
I had the opportunity to tour through the Ogden Temple before its Grand Opening to the general public. It is a majestic addition to Ogden. I have watched it daily through its transformation over the years and I stood in awe and admired its beauty as the final details fell into place. I found myself elated to know that the vision of the LDS Church, Ogden City, and so many others had finally become a reality.
It is no accident that Bellington Manor opened just before the completion of the Ogden Temple. For years our company has hosted weddings for many of Ogden’s most adorable brides and distinguished grooms at Chantilly Mansion in Layton, Utah. As we visited with these couples and their families we realized that there was a great need for an elegant reception center in Ogden. One that was operated by seasoned, experienced owners who could create and facilitate the perfect wedding.
When the announcement came that the Ogden Temple was to be remodeled and that great emphasis would be placed in the design to increase the desire of couples to come to the Ogden Temple for their wedding, we knew that time had come for us to answer the call and open a new Reception Center in Ogden, Utah.
In August 2013 we walked through the Historic Leroy Eccles Estate on the SW corner of Eccles and Historic 25th street. Immediately I knew that this was the perfect place for couples to celebrate weddings and receptions. Within 24 hours we had purchased the building and were on our way to opening Bellington Manor.
We quickly went to work grooming and expanding the century old gardens as well as enhancing the beautiful original architecture that spared no expenses when it was built in 1917. Immaculate floors of the finest wood have been re-exposed and refinished. Hand carved wood accentuates every wall. Fabric tapestries even adorn the walls of the restrooms, and chandeliers imported from Italy light the corridors, ballrooms, and parlours. A vibrant display of original paintings encased in hand crafted gold and bronze frames grace every room with intrigue and charm.
There is a beauty and a grandeur from the work of the master carpenters who built this mansion that cannot be duplicated. The hand carved staircase imported from Italy and the incredible woodwork throughout the mansion exhibits the pride and patience of each craftsman, creating the perfect location to celebrate your wedding. Colonnades and Porticos with an Italian influence grace the exterior.
A private parking lot is available for you and your guests with an additional three porticos that allow your guests to be valeted to any of our three main entrances.
We believe that every couple deserves the grace and charm of a timeless era. After all….. You deserve an entire Estate to celebrate your wedding!
